I am honored to be named to my 6th National USA archery team where I will represent the NFAA as we
compete against the other member Nations for the title of World Team Champions.  The USA has won
every team Gold Medal since its inception.   I will also be competing in the individual longbow
competition, which is 5 days of all out competition.

June 25, 2006: Unofficial European record 70
meter FITA 12 arrows
   120/120-7x tying Dave
Cousin’s world record. (Official status to be announced.)

June 25, 2006:Danish record 70 meter FITA
3/final rounds 119/118/116 total 353 tying the European record.

July 8, 2006: Winning the Grand Prix in
Sassari in Italy over Dave Cousins USA
116/114

At a Danish FITA tournament May 21 2006,
(it was also a qualification tournament for 2 FITA Grand Prix) I shot 1388 in OK weather for
Denmark. There was a lot of wind on the field,
but not too much on the shooters.
I shot 339 on 90 meters, only 1 point from
tying my old 90 meter record and a new Danish record on 30 meters 360/26X

Martin Damsbo (Danish European Championship Team)
  • At 1 grandprix in Croatia placed 6th.
  • At 2 Grandprix in Antalya Turkey - won the qualification with 697 points, and we (Danish team) won the gold medal in team.
  • At 3 WorldCup leg in San Salvador 2 weeks ago - became 3rd  in qualification, but shot 1400 points, with scores, 90m -341p 70m -347p, 50m -353, 30m -359p =1400

Beside shooting my first 1400 I also set a new Danish record on 90m with 341p

Beside that, then all my competition in Denmark I have won so far,  my latest was last Sunday one week after Salvador, I shot 1394.

All my results I have you and your products to thank, I really appreciate your support. My X10 setup with your fine FFP vanes 187 shield makes my arrows go to the center even in very difficult weather conditions.

My next event will be in Athens for European Championship

Once again thanks for your support

Flex Fletch Testimonial
Shooting a 28-target field course or even a FITA with some of the best shooters in the world can be stressful enough. The last thing I want to happen is not be able to finish a tournament because all my fletching got damaged due to bad target butts (pass throughs) and other shooters shooting my vanes off my arrows. By using Flex Fletch products I can compete with the confidence I need and never have to worry about my fletching. They are by far the most reliable and durable product I have used to this day. I guess that’s why the best shooters in the world are using Flex Fletch Vanes.

True Story

On Doris' recent trip to Mexico where she took 1st place in the Junior Women's Compound event at the FITA Junior/Cadet World Target Archery Championship, Doris, unbelievably did it all with a broken thumb and other injuries.

Five days before the event Doris was involved in a terrible car accident.

*Doris was driving home on Provincial Road 212 when her car hit some loose gravel and lost control. She hit the ditch, flipping the car two or three times before it landed on the driver's side.
In addition to the fractured right thumb, she snapped three nails on her right hand and suffered a cut on the inside of her left elbow and a big bruise on her left forearm. Jones lost the hearing in her left ear and her balance was affected.  She's lucky to be alive.

Doris became the first Canadian archer to win an individual gold medal at a world championship.

How's that for testing a persons mettle.

(continued from Doris Jones profile)

...In just his third competitive race, he set the world record for the marathon, smashing the previous mark by over five and half minutes. In the years prior to the First World War, Tom Longboat won most of the major distance races in North America and Europe, including the Boston Marathon and the Powderhall Marathon in Edinburgh, Scotland. At a time when indoor marathon running attracted sell-out crowds, he was the world's professional champion. At one point or another, he held every Canadian record from one mile to the marathon.

Throughout his life, Tom Longboat spoke proudly of his First Nations heritage and held his head high in times of great adversity. He was the headline attraction wherever he raced, drawing huge crowds and a widespread following. In 1999, Maclean's Magazine voted him the #1 Canadian sports figure of the twentieth century.

Established in 1951, the Tom Longboat Award serves as a proud national symbol for all Aboriginal peoples in Canada.

Olympian & Tom Longboat Historian
