How we started:

Flex-Fletch products was the first archery manufacturer to develop an all-weather flexible vane that archers could glue to any arrow shaft. it was first used in competition by Dick Mersch to win the Minnesota State Target and the Wisconsin State Field Championships in 1970. In 1971, the Minnesota team won the Cobo Hall shoot and Flex-Fletch went worldwide. The March 1971 issue of Archery Magazine carried our first ad – a full page in the inside front cover.

We started in our home as many small manufacturers do. After two moves to larger facilities we built our own plant where we currently manufacture our vanes, kisser buttons, and Flex-Bond adhesive. We compound our own resin from which the vanes are molded. This allows us to control the vane characteristics, such as quick recovery without vibration, at the high arrow speeds now being attained.

Approximately 20 years ago we tested our vanes at 282 fps in a wind tunnel. The results showed no vibration or flutter. We believe this speed is not indicative of the capabilities of Flex-Fletch Vanes. We believe our new tests will prove this number to be much higher.

The unique manufacturing process which is exclusive to Flex-Fletch Products, allows us to cast the strips our vanes are die cut from, in precision molds, thus achieving brilliant colors with unequalled recovery and durability. Our vanes are available in 15 sizes and 17 colors.
